ABC Family released a short description for the episode, appropriately titled "This is a Dark Ride": Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are looking forward to some good old Halloween fun now that the traumatic events with Nate are behind them.
Before returning with the aftermath of the bloody midseason finale, "PLL" will air a new Halloween-themed episode on October 23. "It's the craziest episode we've ever filmed [and it's] a different setting than you've ever seen," Bellisario gushed about the said outing, referring to the train where the Liars are celebrating the festivity.

Emily was isolated from the start of the episode. From all the press surrounding Garrett's trial and her disagreement with the other liars, it seemed like all these forces united to make her vulnerable. This big revelation will definitely send most of us running back to the earlier episodes to really pay attention to Toby. The scenes between Mona and Toby were really important because we finally got some insight into A's plans. We know how they intended to set up Paige and why. We just don't understand the motives yet. And we know where A's next target is going to be, the Halloween train.
